JUNIORS MATERIALS
Base and asphalt
We grade, haul road base from our yard, compact it and pave. Loads run 8 to 24 tons.

Cost guide, 2026
Most lots run $2 to $10 a square foot. We build the base and pave asphalt.

$2 to $10PER SQ FT, PAVED
Cost guides updated in 2025 and 2026 put asphalt at $2 to $7 a square foot and concrete at $4 to $10[2][3][1]. Angi puts the national average for a whole lot at about $75,000[1].
Each car needs about 300 to 350 square feet once you count the drive lanes[1][3]. So a 20 car lot runs roughly 6,000 to 7,000 square feet, or about $12,000 to $49,000 in asphalt before any separate base or grading work.
These are national numbers. We didn’t find a source that splits out Texas, so use them to plan and get local bids.
Slide or type. You get a low and a high number for each layer of the lot. It’s a ballpark built from national cost guides, so treat it as a starting point and get real bids.

YOUR CONCRETE CONTRACTOR
We don’t pour concrete. We build the base, and your concrete contractor pours on top.

West of I-35 you often hit limestone close to the surface. East of it, the Blackland clay moves with moisture. Excavation and grading run $1 to $3 a square foot when the site needs it[4].
Installing and compacting a gravel base for asphalt runs $1 to $3 a square foot[4]. Road base by itself is $18 to $31 a ton[5]. Thicker base means more tons and more trucks.
Striping runs $4 to $5 per standard stall[3]. Sealcoat is $0.14 to $0.25 a square foot, and repainting lines is $500 to $1,200[1].

“Thank you juniors for the work you and your team did at my place the road and the parking looks really nice I highly recommend!!”

Cost guides from 2025 and 2026 put a paved lot at about $2 to $7 a square foot for asphalt and $4 to $10 for concrete. Angi puts the national average at about $75,000 for a whole lot. Base work and grading can be extra, so ask what each bid covers.
About $2 to $7 a square foot installed, based on HomeAdvisor (June 2026) and HomeGuide (January 2026). These are national figures. We didn’t find a source that breaks out Texas on its own.
Asphalt costs less up front. HomeAdvisor lists asphalt at $2 to $4.50 a square foot and concrete at $4 to $7, and gives asphalt a 20 to 30 year life against 30 to 40 for concrete.
Angi and HomeAdvisor both list gravel lots at $1.25 to $1.80 a square foot. A road base lot is work we do ourselves, start to finish.
Plan on 300 to 350 square feet per car once drive lanes are counted. That’s the figure Angi and HomeGuide use.
Yes, in asphalt. We grade, build the road base and pave it. We don’t pour concrete, but we’ll build the base for your concrete contractor.
Multiply the square feet by the depth in feet and divide by 27 to get cubic yards. HomeGuide puts a cubic yard of stone at 1.4 to 1.5 tons. Our loads run 8 to 24 tons with an 8-ton minimum. The calculator above does the math.
Yes. Text us the address and the size and we’ll set up a time to look at it.
Prices are national ballparks from these guides, checked October 2026. They are not Juniors prices. We quote every job by address.
We work out of Hutto and deliver about 120 miles around it. Farther is possible if the haul is paid for. We’ve hauled as far as Amarillo and Padre Island.
Every load is priced by address.
